Big news!

My son is potty trained!

I am sure there will be accidents, but this week, he has finally decided that he is ready! He has been in real underwear for a couple of days!

For those of you who are sensitive about this topic, I'll avoid being too graphic, but he is going #1 and #2 in the potty, every time.

Today, for the second time, he stayed dry at school all day. I sent him with a change of clothes, but he did not need them.

So far, it hasn't even been necessary for me to remind him to go. When I ask him if he wants to, he says no. He tells me when he's ready.

He even used the potty at the restaurant where we had dinner tonight.

He also wakes up dry every morning, and has for at least a week now. (Although he still sleeps in pull-ups, not underwear. I'm not that brave.)

Let's hear it for bribery! Those M & M's are powerful tools!! (I was a little afraid that he'd still be requiring them when he is 18, but he really doesn't remember to ask for them most of the time.)
